Austin Ranks ‘Best Poised for Recovery’
Once again, Austin has made it to number one on a Forbes.com list. This time we have been ranked as the ‘Best Poised for Recovery.’
Forbes based their rankings on projected gross domestic product, unemployment rates, and income & affordability data. Austin soared to the top of the list because our GDP is projected to grow by $5 billion by 2010 and our unemployment numbers have been kept in check. Also noted is the strength we gain from economic contributors such as Dell, the University of Texas and the Texas state government.
What you can take away from this – if you are already an Austin resident, feel proud of and secure in your home town, and if you are thinking of moving to Austin…what are you waiting for?
