About Seaholm District
The Seaholm District is bounded by Town Lake and 5th street to the north & south, and Lamar Blvd to San Antonio St to the west & east. The most dramatic change occurring in the district is the redevelopment of the Seaholm Power Plant, which is under construction to become both a residential and retail center hub, with offices, condos and a boutique hotel slated for development. Designed as a mixed-use building, the Seaholm Plaza Hotel will offer 80 upscale condominiums with protected views of downtown and Lady Bird Lake.

Surrounding the main Seaholm redevelopment project are additional condominium buildings such as the completed 360 Condominium tower. The nearby Spring tower overlooks the Seaholm District from slightly north.
Upcoming Construction Projects in Seaholm District
The new Austin Library will be built on an adjacent land parcel and is scheduled for completion in 2013. The newly-redesigned Austin Music Hall is within a block, as is the new Ballet Austin. In addition, the Lance Armstrong Bikeway is integrated into the project to promote the use of non-motorized transportation. The Pfluger pedestrian bridge that runs parallel to Lamar Blvd will be extended to cross Cesar Chavez St to allow easier and safer access to the hike & bike trails from the property, and is scheduled for completion mid-2009.
