The Market District in Downtown Austin is comprised of upscale shopping and residential living destinations, and is anchored by the Whole Foods Market headquarters.  The Market District is arguably becoming the most upscale area for living, shopping, and entertainment options in downtown Austin.

Location and Lifestyle Information

The Market District is located just north of the Seaholm District and to the west of the Warehouse District. Although its official borders are 3rd Street and 9th Street to the north and south, and Lamar St and Guadalupe St to the east and west, the focus of recent growth in this area is around the 5th and 6th Street intersections of Lamar St. Here you will find boutique shops such as Chico’s, by george, and Anthropologie, and original Austin icons like Amy’s Ice Cream and Waterloo Records. Two fitness centers, Pure Austin and Mecca Spa, offer memberships for those with an active lifestyle. There’s also a Starbucks that offers Wi-Fi internet.  All of this and more could be within a block or two from your Market District condominium!
