About Jester Neighborhood
 The mature Austin neighborhood of Jester continues to receive accolades and to draw new residents. Located about 12 miles from downtown near Capital of Texas Hwy (Loop 360) and RM 2222, Jester rests at a higher elevation to downtown and is within the Northern Edwards Aquifer recharge zone. Most of the neighborhood rests on a tributary to Bull Creek.
Jester Neighborhood Facts
Jester is comprised of over 900 homes in several subdivisions (Jester Estates, Jester Point, Jester Farms, and Canyon Ridge) and prices range from the $400’s to over $1M. Home building began in Jester during the 1980s and many lots are situated on hilltops with sweeping treetop views. Membership is available to Jester Club, a members-only community center with pools, playgrounds, and more! The Jester Homeowners Association was established to maintain the beauty of the neighborhood and also issues a newsletter of events.
Jester Meets Austin's Green Neighborhood Standards
Jester became Austin’s second Green Neighborhood in 2008. To qualify, Jester had to meet the city’s guidelines that included adding solar panels to a number of homes, declaring a portion of their land as a wildlife habitat, addition of rainwater-collection sites and more.
